More Families Speak Out Against CAPS

Since our case's occurrence in 2016, we have communicated with so many other families that have gone through the same experience of being falsely accused or are currently going through the false accusations as of today.  It's incredibly sad to hear of new cases come up daily, and many with the same verbiage that is used by many CAPS (Child Abuse Pediatrician) around the world to accuse parents of harming their babies when taken to a children's hospital to get help for their babies.  In turn, these caretakers and parents get accused of abusing their babies and fall into a spiral of dealing with CPI, DCF, family court, criminal court, mandated psychological evaluations, parenting classes, counseling, and other "tasks" assigned on a case plan that is dangled in front of the parents to get their kids back.  For the even unluckier cases, parents are faced with TPR (Termination of Parental Rights) and are forced to go to trial.  The resources to go up against DCF on facing child abuse charges is in the tends of thousands and many families borrow, take out the their retirement ,and have family members that contribute.  Attorney fees, hiring actual medical experts to review all the child's medical records, flying everyone in for trial, continuances; this puts many in years of repaying back these debts or being left with absolutely nothing.  For those that don't even have these options, their futures are even dimmer with representation of public defenders who are not at all knowledgeable with these types of cases and left with no resources to get second opinions.
